Our Projects

Braddons Lookout Road, Forth

This smaller footprint, three bedroom barn is set nicely into the Braddons Lookout Road hill, taking in the Forth Valley below. Polished concrete floors reflect the light from picture windows, and the feature fireplace is a striking central piece to the living and dining areas.

Solid Tas Oak benchtops and floating shelves give warmth to the kitchen, and match well with the bold Amazonia Hade green tiles.

With three bedrooms, a generous walk-in pantry and an internal laundry – this 133m2 floorplan packs a punch! Take in views from anywhere – the custom daybed, the bedrooms, or perhaps while relaxing in the bath!

On the external, Silver Top Ash in a shiplap profile is matched with James Hardie Oblique cladding, and bricks supplied by the client themselves give the home some added character! The 30 degree pitched gable roof seems to sit nestled into the hill, shaping your eye to the valley views and the Dial Range to the west.

Vinegar Hill Road

The Vinegar Hill project was designed with views of Mt Roland in-mind. Our clients came to us wanting a simple design and build experience, to make taking in these views and the laid back Sheffield lifestyle a reality; as easily as possible.

The H design of the home allows 2 separate wings to be connected by an open living area that takes in the southern view from a stunning 39m2 Silvertop Ash deck. When welcomed to this build, you feel immediately at home!

9 Hugo Court, Ulverstone

This custom design and build for Ulverstone clients Abbey and Brock is divine! They came to us wanting something unique, and boy, did they get it. The striking white and silver top ash cladded exterior of 9 Hugo gives a hint to what you find when entering this four bedroom home – a light and fresh look, with comfort in the curves.

The double height kitchen and living space provides an air of luxury, and when matched with gold and timber features, the sense of grandeur just keeps coming! Organic touches and warm lighting in the ensuite, master bed and dining spaces compliment the clean lines.

The dowel timber feature wall of the master bedroom further invites you into an enticing walk in robe and ensuite.

14 Pepik St Shearwater

Our clients, Ashton and Hannah, came to us looking for a custom-designed, open-plan home to suit their requirements (and the needs of their beloved pets!). Seamless connection between spaces was a must, so we worked closely with Ashton and Hannah to design the home of their dreams. The use of our selection booklet made the process nice and simple, we worked together to select (and order) all their fixtures and finishes before the build began.

Open-plan living at its finest

14 Pepik Street features three bedrooms, two spacious living areas, and a hidden walk-in pantry.

With polished concrete throughout the entry, kitchen, and open living areas, as well as ducted heating and a deluxe 900mm gas oven in the kitchen – this home is a stunner.

Externally, Ashton and Hannah chose Daniel Robertson Hawthorn bricks from Austral Bricks, Colorbond Nailstrip cladding, with spotted gum timber cladding, decking and screen fencing, exposed aggregate footpaths and grey concrete for the driveway.

46 Boyes Street, Turners Beach

As keen entertainers, our clients came to us inspired by our existing plan Wilson, but with a few tweaks to suit their lifestyle. What we delivered was a home that maximised the space on their block, with plenty of open space to have family and friends over!

Working with their requirements, we adjusted what was the alfresco dining area on plan Wilson to become a large wrap around deck to maximise the space. The master bedroom features a large soaking tub in the ensuite that looks out to a fernery (a privacy-screened garden that lets in loads of natural life). This theme carries throughout the whole home, every inch is drenched in natural light. The living/family area features raked ceilings and an electric fireplace for all-year-round comfort, stacker doors open to an outdoor dining area, which has a built-in barbecue area, including a fridge and sink making for the perfect entertaining area.

20 Swilkin Drive, Spreyton

Light, airy, spacious. Swilkin is a modern design, offering comfort and luxury for the whole family. The home is drenched in natural light thanks to the angled roof and skylights. The open-plan living, dining area is finished with contemporary materials and leads seamlessly onto the deck/ alfresco dining area.

Designed for ease of living in mind – Swilkin is not only a beauty to look at, but functional to live in. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this could be your forever home. The master has a generous walk-in robe and ensuite and the second and third bedroom both with built-in robes. The main bathroom main bathroom features a stunning deep freestanding bath, separate shower and floating vanity. The kitchen features quality and contemporary finishes, with stone benchtops and a generous island bench.

12 Mulligan Drive

The vibe is rustic and industrial, with exposed brick, polished concrete floors, and matte black joinery features throughout. Every inch of Mulligan Drive has been carefully considered from design to execution, and it’s fair to say we’re stoked with the finished product.

About the project

The inspo for these villas was a rugged/industrial-style loft that you would find scattered throughout New York. Each villa has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious double garage. The aspect was a huge consideration when designing; each villa has an open-plan living area that’s northern facing to ensure they look and feel light and spacious. Have a squiz of our blog explaining why the orientation of your home is so important.

Inside and out

The villas were designed to seamlessly connect the external and internal elements. Clear finish plywood details the home inside and out – structural plywood is used on the ceilings for the entryway, and in the alfresco features, with strip lighting for extra intrigue. The bathroom vanities also feature plywood, but we’ve used the end grain, allowing a more rustic and industrial look.

Simplicity was key; the joinery is Absolute Matte Black, with concrete-style Caesarstone benchtops in the kitchen. Burnished concrete is used throughout to tie together the exterior and interior and stick with the NYC feels. The entry features overhead strip lighting between the plywood joints, and vertical slat screening has been used to allow for natural light, movement, and privacy; this feature ties together with the vertical monument cladding and vertical slat-style mailbox to complete the design.

96 Preservation Bay Drive

This modern beauty is about as beachfront as it gets, built only 150 metres from the ocean and designed to maximise the stunning, panoramic ocean views Preservation Bay has to offer. When our clients, Steve and Liz, came to us, they had already started the planning process and needed the right team to execute their dream home; safe to say we’re stoked with the final product.

About the project

This modern beach house features three generous bedrooms, the master with a spacious walk-in robe and ensuite. This home has not two but three living areas where you can sit back and relax with a cuppa and take in the gorgeous ocean views, then head out to the generous alfresco dining area for a drink later in the evening.

Located so close to the water, we carefully selected the materials to stand the test of time – this beauty is one for the ages!

Inside & out

The exterior combines modern styling with elegant accents. Tasmanian Blackwood features from the moment you enter this home, paired with an all-texture render for the perfect balance. In addition, we have used exposed aggregate concrete for the driveways and entry paving to match the beauty of its location.

When you enter, you’re met with various timber elements to create a feeling of warmth. A recurring timber feature throughout the home is solid Burmese teak, which is included for its appearance and water-resistant properties. This stunning wood is used as the vanity tops in the bathroom and the internal timber windows. Speaking of windows, you’d be hard-pressed to find a spot in 96 Preservation Bay without a stunning view! Drenched in natural light- this home was carefully curated to be the ultimate lifestyle property.

We had a lot of fun with this one! When our client Danielle first approached us, she had already completed the design plans. We were happy to assist her through the final stages of her design.

With Danielle’s clear eye for detail, it was essential for us to work closely with her on each element throughout the home.

The finished product? A carefully crafted and beautifully designed space for her family to enjoy.

7 Rubicon Rise, Northdown

Our brief: design a large family home for all to enjoy.

We worked closely with our clients to ensure that we could deliver – from the initial pre-planning process, all the way through to the finished product.

With four bedrooms, two living areas, two bathrooms, a study, and an open plan living area that extends into the alfresco area – we like to think we aced this brief.

About the project

Inside, the features are endless. The kitchen features stylish Caesarstone benchtops, a hidden walk-in pantry, and bi-fold windows that open onto the alfresco area. The high-raked ceilings in the open living area create a light, bright and airy space, with ducted heating ensuring our clients are always comfortable.

Externally, the dark brick facade is complemented by Silvertop Stringybark Shiplap cladding. The concreted driveway leads you straight to the double garage – with room for the tools and the bikes!

Lillian Court, Turners Beach (Coming Soon)

Welcome to Lillian Court. This 3-bedroom, 2-living, 2-bathroom home is currently under construction in the sought-after area of Turners Beach.

Even though these images are renders, you can see how the beautiful exterior features combine to create your perfect future home – including skillion roof, San Selmo bricks, and Spots of Silvertop ash timber cladding. We can’t wait to share Lillian with you once she’s complete.

About the project

As you enter through the solid timber front door, you’re welcomed by striking featured wall panelling in the entry. The skylights throughout the home allow natural light to flow and create a light and airy feel. You’ll feel like you’re on holiday in the master bedroom, designed to feel like a resort, and the deck is the ideal summer entertainer.

Invictus Place, Penguin

Welcome to Invictus Place. Our clients, Jacob and Cyndra connected with us to build their first home. Their requirements included three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double garage – so we based the design on one of our popular plans, the Cameron. We also took Jacob and Cyndra through one of our previously built homes so they could get a clear idea of the size, layout, and more.

About the project

While the design was one of our existing plans, Jacob and Cyndra made their home their own. They chose a Hamptons Style finish, with weatherboard exterior and complementary Colorbond roof colour.

Jacob and Cyndra also put their own flair into the interiors, selecting internal fixtures and finishes to give a modern classic feel throughout the house.

They also went through our pre-planning process. Our flexible payment options at the beginning of the project allowed their hard-earned savings to go towards their loan deposit. Then, once the loan was approved, we were well ahead in the building process – as we had all the approvals and reports completed!

The end result is a stylish home that’s perfectly suited for Jacob and Cyndra’s needs – and is a beautiful space to live in!

43 Fleetwood Drive, Spreyton

Another project close to our hearts, Fleetwood Drive’s contemporary look and feel is sure to impress. With an open living plan, an envious butler’s pantry and two generous bathrooms, we really enjoyed working on this one for our clients.

Inside & out

With its Hamptons-inspired design, Fleetwood Drive ticks all your coastal home dreams – including Vic Ash timber vanity tops, a white subway splashback and Caesarstone kitchen benches. This three-bedroom home has two bathrooms, with larger than usual showers, a two-car garage and a fully landscaped outdoor entertaining area.

Garnett Place, Hawley Beach

Like all our projects, the team took careful consideration with all aspects of the build, ensuring that every touchpoint and finish is crafted with care. Each unit has two generous sized sun-filled bedrooms, living areas and bathrooms, but they are individual in their own right. We’re proud of how these have turned out — a genuine team effort.

Inside & out

These modern contemporary units exterior features the Tasmanian inspired Austral Overland brick and matte black Nailstrip cladding. In addition, the entire development is fully landscaped with easy-to-maintain plants and fully concreted concrete driveways.

Inside, each unit contains two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a two-car garage, a study and generous alfresco areas. Tas Oak can be found on both the bathroom vanity tops and the kitchen bench legs, while the benchtops are Caesarstone.

Stanley Street Units

Fresh, light, airy and perfect for your first home. Each of these units was designed with an open living style. The light colour palette is Scandi inspired and its neutrality allows your personal style to shine. With clean lines and elegant joinery, the kitchen is a real highlight of these modern units.

About the project

Shying away from heavy and dark colours and showcasing two of the new Tasmanian inspired Austral Overland Range, these new homes were great fun to build.

The Stanley St units feature open plan living, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a generous two car garage.
With earthy and coastal vibes, the bathroom features Tasmanian oak vanity tops and light grey floor-to-ceiling subway tiles.

Ensuring that all the boxes were ticked before the sale, our team also designed and delivered the landscaping – selecting and planting low-maintenance plants for stylish effect with minimal upkeep.

Fleetwood Drive, Spreyton

We love the stylish simplicity of this home. The bedroom feature wonderfully large windows for maximum light throughout the year. The kitchen space is designed for efficiency, leaving more room for relaxation and entertainment through the two living areas.

About the project

Designed collaboratively with Unify Designs, Fleetwood Drive is another excellent example of our pre-planning process. Working with these first home builders, our easy process guided them through from start to finish to ensure we delivered the home of their dreams.

This elegant brick veneer home comprises two spacious living areas, a walk-in robe and pantry, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. With elements of easy-clap cladding throughout and a large Merbau deck for entertaining – we all know who’s hosting the family BBQs in summer!

Gerrand Street, Latrobe

We delivered this award-winning home for a construction cost of less than $200,000 – yet, the home has features you’d normally see on a home with a much higher construction cost. It’s a terrific showcase of our building skills in both construction and project management, and the winner of the 2020 Master Builders Award for Dwelling Construction – Under $200,000.

About the project

For this project, we were presented with a small unit-sized block of 381 m2 with its own title. Not a lot of room to move! But we were up for the challenge – and we are proud to have created such a cost-effective product with a high-quality finish. A specific design brief from our clients and local council requirements meant that careful planning had to be considered. Working with the team at Elco Designs, we created a home with a sun-filled open-plan living space and a practical layout feeling spacious and homely.

Inside & out

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home featured quality modern yet affordable fittings throughout. The wet areas feature black shower screens and tapware chosen by the client, further enhancing the modern look and feel.

Externally, this skillion design features Weathertex natural finished cladding, complementing Island Block & Paving’s sustainable pewter coloured bricks. Throughout the exterior, we combined two tones of bricks to make a bold impression.

Explorer Drive, Turners Beach

This beautiful home was designed to feel luxe. Natural timber finishes are matched with deep velvety navy tones and bronze highlights for the decadent interior. The ensuite features a sumptuous deep bath and double vanity. The home has not one, but two lounge areas and the kitchen island has a clever table extension for use as a breakfast bar. The enclosed alfresco area has a built in BBQ, fridge and sink – for home entertainment in style.

About the project

Working collaboratively with n+b design on the look and feel, Explore Drive is another excellent example of our pre-planning process. This four-bedroom, two living room home ticks all the boxes for our clients. Tas oak features and rose gold fittings exude luxury, while the purpose built outdoor alfresco area is ideal for entertaining. Externally Explorer Drive features Silvertop cladding, Austral Daniel Robertson Bricks and an exposed aggregate driveway.

Tatiana Close, Devonport

The light colour palette used in the design of this home give both the interior and exterior a light, airy feel. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the kitchen/dining area provide natural sunlight, while the raked ceiling in the living area gives a sense of grandeur to the space.

About the project

We loved working with this Oramatis Studio design. Tatiana Close is one of the all-time favourite projects that we’ve built. While the floor plan is simple, it’s evident that extra time has been spent on the minor details and finishes.

This home features floor-to-ceiling windows, a raked ceiling in the hallways and living areas, a large alfresco deck for entertaining, and four spacious and considered bedrooms.

Externally, the client selected San Selmo Austral bricks and Spotted Gum cladding to create a light, modern and sophisticated look.

Mulligan Drive, Spreyton (Project 2)

One of our first ever Platinum Pro contract homes, we hold Mulligan Drive pretty close to our hearts (awww). Boasting three bedrooms, two living spaces, two bathrooms and a two-car garage, Mulligan Drive was designed with the intent of practical living in mind but with cost-effective architectural characteristics.

About the project

Working alongside Unify Design, we were contracted to help design and build this elegant, single storey home. While it was designed to be cost-effective, we consulted with the clients to ensure that the finished product was sleek and modern, but still felt like a home. This resort-style home was our pleasure to create with a rendered finish complemented by Austral graphite bricks.

Inside & out

Entering the house, you are greeted with a floor-to-ceiling entry door and window – designed to fit perfectly between the floor, ceiling, and walls on each side. The raked ceiling hallway that flows into the open-plan indoor and outdoor living space draws the eyes further into the home. Filled with quality appliances and fittings throughout, the kitchen features Caesarstone benchtops, a gas cooktop, and a striking light fitting. The master bedroom has extra room to move and has access to the outdoor living area. The master bedroom also features a spacious walk-in robe and a resort-inspired ensuite.

The outdoor alfresco area is accessible via a corner sliding door and extends the internal raked ceiling to the exterior, separated by a window. The design intent was to maintain the seamless flow of the house and inspire a ‘retreat-like’ feel. Externally, sharp features combine with bold lines to create the striking street appeal of this home. The grey and white house exterior is complemented by a salt and pepper exposed aggregate driveway and concrete stairs. The corner-styled glazed window of the front bedroom gives a unique look as well as proving extra natural light. Finally, the stylish garage is the visual cherry on top – with an acrylic designer panel-lift door.

Mulligan Drive, Spreyton (Project 1)

We loved constructing this stunning house with its commanding presence, designed to work with the incline of the land. This home features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a wrap-around verandah. The open-plan living area takes advantage of the sunlight with large tinted windows, and the lounge even has an innovative full-length bench along the front wall for extra seating and storage.

About the project

Inspired by the luxurious farmhouses of the Hamptons, we worked closely with Eclo Designs on this project in Mulligan Drive, Spreyton. We were given a strong brief from our first home builders – who wanted it to look like an ‘older home’. Our design combines coastal elegance with rustic country charm for a relaxed, timeless style. Conscious to extend the style throughout the entire build, we designed the shed to the same style.

Quite simple with its finishes, the interior is clean and understated. We took advantage of the natural elevation of the house and utilised as much natural lighting as possible, making the interior spaces feel larger and more spacious. We’re proud to have created this beautiful home for our clients on brief, on time, and on budget.

Tedmon Street, Spreyton

When contemporary design and immaculate presentation meet, the result is this stylish home in Spreyton. This large 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom family home has several features that make it stand out – including beautiful wood panelling in the main bedroom and distinctive hexagonal bathroom tiling in the ensuite. The home features ducted wood heating via an efficient heat transfer system.

Jabez Villas, Devonport

This multi-unit development is an excellent example of our experience in unit construction. This Devonport block features 4 three-bedroom villas. Each contains a generous living area that opens onto a stunning timber deck that complements the striking exterior, looking straight towards the Bass Strait. Designed for high energy efficiency, all villas feature double glazed windows and fully insulated ceiling, walls and under floor.

About the project

An upper-class unit complex with a modern twist, Jabez is made up of four villas situated in the heart of Devonport. The land itself was a challenge, as we had to deal with significant cross fall on the block. We worked with Dock4 Architects on this project, we invested a lot of time to consider every detail – ensuring we didn’t compromise quality or safety.

Inside & out

Externally, the villas have powder-coated awning shade frames and deck railings with perforated mesh infills. We used timber subfloor cantilevering on the east side of the block, then nestling back into the natural ground on the west. We invested extra time before construction, ensuring that each outrigging shade frame member was lined up with each join of the James Hardie EasyLap clear sealed cladding. Adding a modern and sophisticated timber look, the villas feature Spotted Gum Shiplap cladding alcoves, decking boards and sub-floor screening.

Internally, the villas each feature a large open-plan living area with engineered overlay timber flooring, Caesarstone kitchen benchtops, and timber slatted featured lining. The villa design flows through slatted Tas Oak timber privacy screens into an open wet area within the bathroom. The clever design of the bedroom spaces ensure maximum comfort and in the master bedroom, there’s a secret ensuite nestled behind the robe!

Mollie Place, Turners Beach

This two-storey build holds a special place in our hearts. This 3-bedroom home was designed with large windows and an impressive deck to soak up the sun all year round and take full advantage of the ocean views. The interior combines warm timbers with grey accents throughout, resulting in a comfortable home that is also a stunning, artistic showpiece.

About the project

Designed and developed by our team, Mollie Place is an excellent example of our pre-planning process, where we worked closely with our clients to understand their family and dream home needs. We knew our easy-to-understand, step-by-step process would be the easiest and most cost-effective way for these clients to build their first home.

After getting to know the clients and visiting them onsite, we knew the ocean views were a key feature. So we planned our design around the amazing view and ensured there was plenty of natural light.

Inside & out

Designed to suit a sloping block, our chunky and bold design incorporates a mixture of Austral Metallix bricks and a render finish. The tile deck allows for ample entertaining but gives still a sense of privacy. This family home comprises three bedrooms, a walk-in robe, three living areas, a walk-in pantry, and a generously sized garage. The staircase is hand-built with Tasmanian Oak, and leads you into the upstairs kitchen and dining areas. We had a lot of fun with this one, from pouring the concrete all the way through to mowing the lawn at the end (…well, we would be happy to, if needed!).
