We are looking for two enthusiastic and dedicated Carpentry Apprentices to join our busy and growing team.

Platinum Pro Construction is a residential construction company based in Spreyton Tasmania with current building projects from Westbury to Wynyard and many areas along the coast in between. Key Accountabilities:
Assist with the construction and installation of structural elements of a new home
Learn to read and study building plans
Provide help with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials as directed by your supervisor
Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Support skilled carpenters with various tasks on a variety of projects and sites
Key Personal Attributes:
You have high standards and thrive on accountability and results
You’re great with details and cool working under pressure
You are ambitious and hardworking
You are a natural problem solver
Role Requirements:
No prior experience necessary—just a willingness to absorb & learn!
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools is a bonus but not required
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
Good physical fitness and ability to handle manual labor
A passion for carpentry and the end result

Strong knowledge of building codes and standards, and compliance with company policy

Role Requirements:
Use of the appropriate PPE and act safely onsite. adhering to all the site safety requirements is non-negotiable
Looking after company Construction tools and property
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions when required
Good physical fitness and ability to handle manual labor
A passion for carpentry and the end result
Comply with all company policies
Take ownership of your own training and skills development.

The Purple Army is growing, and we’re on the lookout for an experienced Master Carpenter who’s ready to take the next step: a pivotal senior role that blends hands-on skill with leadership, mentoring, and raising the bar for excellence across our sites.
This isn’t just another carpentry gig. This is about shaping the next generation of builders, setting the standard for quality, and being a key player in our future. If you’re passionate about your craft and want to make an impact, this is the role for you.
What you’ll be doing:
(site-based, hands-on, leadership-focused)
While you’ll still be on the tools, your main focus is being the cornerstone of Platinum’s signature quality—elevating the skills and standards across our entire team:
- Mentoring & Training: Develop and deliver on-the-job training for apprentices and carpenters—everything from quality basics to high-end finishes.
- On-Site Coaching: Be on the ground with our crews, guiding them through live projects, troubleshooting challenges, and showing them the best way to get the job done.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections, check workmanship against Platinum Pro standards, and ensure every project meets (and beats) client expectations and building codes.
- Developing Standards: Create and refine quality checklists and procedures so our work stays consistently top tier.
- Safety Leadership: Champion a culture of safety. Keep safety front and centre by embedding WHS best practices into everything we do.
- Problem Solving: When the tricky jobs pop up, you’re the go-to person to figure it out and deliver the right result.
Who we’re looking for:
You’re a craftsperson first and a communicative leader by nature. You’ve got the skills, the experience, and the drive to enable others to succeed
- Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent)
- Extensive post-trade experience
- A proven track record of high-quality work and an eye for detail
- Experience leading or mentoring others on-site (Leading Hand, Site Supervisor, or informally training of apprentices)
- Solid understanding of the NCC and Australian Standards
- Great communicator—patient, approachable, and able to explain complex concepts clearly
- Passion for building and sharing knowledge of the craft
- Current White Card and Driver’s Licence
